Bovec Weekend House Solis is a family house with its backgrounds back in 1948. While it went through a solid constructional renovation in the 70s, we decided recently to bring it back to life with a complete functional, energetic and aesthetic renovation. We styled everything in a modern way, yet its thick and massive inner walls are revealing its age and giving it a special charm of an old house.

ČEZSOČA vs. BOVEC – One could argue the benefits of staying in the center of Bovec against Čezsoča village. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you prefer to have bars, restaurants, shops and vivid touristic places available at the doorstep, then you should choose to stay in Bovec. If you prefer a calmer set up, closer to the nature, then you should choose to stay in Čezsoča. Either way, you will need a vehicle to get to the most interesting spotlights the valley has to show.
Čezsoča literally means ‘over Soča’ because you need to cross a bride to get there. Along with beautiful views over the surrounding mountains, major advantage of staying in Čezsoča is ability to reach Soča beach within a few minutes walk through the village, which is very refreshing in the hot summer months. It is no coincidence there are 7 local adventure centers located within the village – don’t miss opportunity to book at least one of the guided activities with them!
The Great Soča Gorge
There is no surprise visitors from all over the world are visiting the Soča Valley, because of the Soča River itself. Its crystal clean impressions are breath taking treats for everyone. You can reach Soča river beach from our weekend house by foot (10 min walk through the Čezsoča village). But the most famous spot of them all is the Great Soča Gorge (Velika korita Soče), with its emerald green pools intertwined into a long gorge. Don’t forget the swimsuit in the summer!
Kobarid and Dining at Michelin ** Restaurant
Beside Bovec, Kobarid is a small city, morel like a village, worth visiting if you want to know more about the local culture. You can simply enjoy you coffee in the main square, take lunch in one of the restaurants like Hiša Polonka, visit museum of the World War I or take a walk in the surroundings. Cycling
Either you are a beginner on electric bike empowering your skills, or an experienced mountain biker, cycling is a very popular and convenient way to discover the Soča Valley.
Skiing - Kanin-Sella Nevea
Kanin is the highest ski resort in Slovenia, which is connected with Italian Sella Nevea ski resort. On a beautiful day it offers unique views over the Slovenian Julian Alps. Accessible with a mountain cable car, it is also highly popular to visit in the summertime.
Adventure Park Bovec
Suitable for all ages, Bovec Adventure Park is simply a fun family adventure.
Mountain Hiking
Take a day hiking. There are plenty of picks to pick from. Kanin, Mangart and Vršič are the most famous. The one we recommend to visit to everyone is an alpine lake Krn (Krnsko jezero) in Lepena river valley.
Zipline over Učja Canyon
Consisting of 10 zip lines, 4km long, Bovec Zip Line over Učja river canyon is one of the longest zipline parks in the EU.
Golf & FootGolf
Golf course Bovec is thoughtfully placed in the dynamic environment. It offers extraordinary views over the mountains, while the course itself is a challenge even for experienced players. For those who don’t swing with a club, they can challenge themselves in a footgolf or tenigolf.
Waterfalls and Springs
Soča river is fed by many water streams. Most of the nice spots are accessible easily, on foot or by bicycle. Waterfalls Boka and Virje (on image), springs Soča and Lepena, as well as the Šunik water grove (Šunikov gaj), are just a few amazing natural sights for your soul.
